The Universal Plinth

Meridian Technologies introduces the latest in design for installing 19" racks and High Density Patching Frames onto a raised floor system.

In the past cabinets and racks have been positioned directly onto the floor tile and apertures in the tile have been cut out by the installer to allow for cable access. This is normally a lengthy process and because of the dust that is generated by this operation it is normally carried out away from the place of installation.

The Universal Plinth is designed to do away with this operation and simply replace the existing tile. Simply remove the four (4) screws that sometimes secure the floor tile in place, remove the tile and position the Universal Plinth in its place. Use the same screws to then secure the plinth into place.

It is recommended at this stage to remove the screws holding down the floor tiles to the front and rear of the plinth. This is to enable these tiles to be temporarily removed giving easy access for any future maintenance work.

The Universal Plinth is manufactured of press steel and is supplied 75 high x 600 wide x 900 deep, this will enable a standard 900 deep cabinet or two (2) HDPF's to be in a back to back position.

Sub Floor Plinth
For Racks & High Density Patching Frames

Manufactured from 2.5mm steel and welded to supply rigidity, whilst also designed to keep product weight to a minimum, the unit can be manufactured to suit all sizes of floor heights.

Incorporating, simple final adjustment for aligning with the height of the computer floor, the "Sub-Floor Plinth" provides flexibility, whilst providing secure positioning of any Meridian Technologies Limited Cabinets or High Density Patching Frames.

Cable Management was a major input in the design of this product; therefore access on the floor for cable is almost 360 degrees.

A large cutout is incorporated within the unit to allow good vertical access for all types of cable.

Additional location struts that can be bolted onto the front or side of the unit in order to support tiles are available. Thus allowing tiles to be positioned right up to the edge of the plinth.
